This exhibition is a tribute to my favorite athletes of all time.
Gianluigi Buffon. (Italy)
Date of birth: January 28, 1978
I had a hard time deciding if I should make a portrait of Gianluigi Buffon, the goalkeeper of the Italian team, or Jens Lehmann, the goalkeeper of the German team. I decided to make Buffon, with all respect to Mr. Lehmann. There is something fascinating about Buffon, or Gigi as they call him. I only got to know his name last summer. When he’s standing in the goal, he looks really stressed, almost shaking. But he’s really good. He’s always smiling, handsome, and is dating some kind of a supermodel.
