This exhibition is a tribute to my favorite athletes of all time.
Rudi Völler. (Germany)
Date of birth: April 13, 1960
I’ve known Rudi Völler’s name since I was a child, and that was all I knew, the name. Last summer, my friend Kalli and I got really hooked on playing the FIFA World Cup game on Playstation 2. We played as the Icelandic team, and even added ourselves to the squad. We got in the finals, and our opponent was Germany. Suddenly I saw a name I recognized, it was Rudi. But he was way too old to play in the 2006 German team. How did he get there? Kalli had no idea what I was talking about. The game went on, the score was 1-1 until the last minute when Germany produced a late winner. Of course it was Rudi who scored the goal. He won the World Cup for Germany. That is why I respect him, but I still think it was some kind of a cheat.
